Following the inauguration of the First International Branch of ABU Alumni Association on Saturday, 30th September 2017, in Newark, New Jersey, USA, the President of ABU Alumni Association Professor A T Mora and Dr Ibrahim Hassan explored the feasibility of forming ABU Alumni Association UK Branch.
I, Ibrahim Hassan contacted several Alumni and with the help of Mercy Mshelbwala, Abdulmalik, Yinka Oduwaiye, Abdullahi Shehu and Kenny Alewoesin contacted several ABU Alumni resident in UK & Ireland to discuss this idea, and fortunately the Alumni contacted were receptive to the idea of formation of the ABU Alumni Association (UK& Ireland).
Necessary steps were set in motion that ultimately resulted in the inauguration of ABU Alumni Association (UK & Ireland) on Saturday, the 6th of October 2019 at the Conference Hall of the Postgraduate Education Centre of Lewisham Hospital in London.
